The first Global Mandarin Rotary Club Development Conference was held on March 16–17, 2019, in Putrajaya, Malaysia, organized by the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Around 200 delegates from Mandarin-speaking clubs in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Shanghai, and Malaysia gathered to discuss expanding and strengthening Mandarin Rotary Clubs worldwide. Conference Chair and former Rotary International President Huang Qiguang addressed challenges like stagnant global membership and low female and youth participation, while noting significant growth since Mandarin became an official Rotary language in 2015. Presentations included strategies for overcoming language barriers, leadership development, and youth engagement. Local projects in music education and reading were highlighted, along with Taiwanese Rotary organizations’ support for Mandarin-speaking communities. The event concluded with the hosting baton passed to the Pan-Yangon Rotary Club and the next conference scheduled for February 2020, reaffirming a shared commitment to Rotary’s mission of peace and humanitarian service.

A primeira Conferência Global de Desenvolvimento dos Clubes Rotary em Mandarim foi realizada nos dias 16 e 17 de março de 2019, em Putrajaya, Malásia, organizada pelo Rotary Club de Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Cerca de 200 delegados de clubes de língua mandarim de Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tailândia, Myanmar, Singapura, Xangai e Malásia reuniram-se para discutir a expansão e fortalecimento dos clubes Rotary em mandarim globalmente. O presidente da conferência e ex-presidente da Rotary International, Huang Qiguang, destacou desafios como a estagnação da adesão global e a baixa participação de mulheres e jovens, ao mesmo tempo em que ressaltou o crescimento significativo desde 2015, quando o mandarim tornou-se língua oficial do Rotary. As apresentações abordaram estratégias para superar barreiras linguísticas, desenvolvimento de liderança e engajamento juvenil. Projetos locais de educação musical e leitura foram destacados, assim como o apoio de organizações Rotary taiwanesas às comunidades de língua mandarim. O evento terminou com a transferência da organização para o Rotary Club Pan-Yangon e a próxima conferência agendada para fevereiro de 2020, reafirmando o compromisso com a missão do Rotary de paz e serviço humanitário.

第一屆全球扶輪華文社發展峰會于2019年3月16日至17日在馬來西亞吉隆坡布城舉行，由吉隆坡市中心扶輪社（KLCC）主辦。來自台灣、香港、泰國、緬甸、新加坡、上海及馬來西亞等地約200名華語扶輪社代表齊聚一堂，共商華文扶輪社的發展與壯大。峰會主席、前國際扶輪總會長黃啟光指出全球扶輪會員增長停滯、女性與青年會員比例偏低等挑戰，同時強調自2015年華語成為扶輪官方語言以來，華文社快速擴展。會議介紹了克服語言障礙、領導力發展與青年參與等策略，並展示了當地音樂教育及社區閱讀項目，以及台灣扶輪組織對華語社區的支持。峰會最後由泛仰光扶輪社接棒主辦，下一屆計劃於2020年2月舉行，體現扶輪會致力於和平與人道服務的全球使命。
