Peter Kingson Kwok (1883–1953) was a leading Hong Kong metal trader and founding director of the Bank of East Asia (BEA), serving from 1918 until his death. Owner of Singon & Company, a prominent iron and steel importer established in 1880, Kwok descended from General Kwok Chi-Yee of the Tang Dynasty. His family migrated from Shanxi to Guangdong and later Hong Kong. Succeeding his father in business, Kwok was active in the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Po Leung Kuk. He guided the BEA through financial crises and the Japanese occupation. Married to Rose, they had ten children, including Frank Kwok, a respected lawyer and sports leader. Peter Kwok passed away in 1953 and was buried in Happy Valley Catholic Cemetery. His family continued to impact business, philanthropy, and public service in Hong Kong.
