Incorporation of the Rotary Club of Amagao, Macao, 1988

The Rotary Club of Amagao (Rotary Clube de Amagao/亞馬閣扶輪社) was the fourth Rotary club established in Portuguese Macao, joining Rotary International on November 19, 1985. Following the earlier clubs of Macau (1947), Hou Kuong (1978), and Macau Central (1984), it operated within Rotary International District 345, which covered Portuguese Macao, British Hong Kong, and northern Taiwan. The Club required members to be fluent in Portuguese and subscribed to Portuguese Rotary publications. Officially incorporated on July 13, 1988, the club was registered as a nonprofit with the Macao government. It actively engaged in humanitarian aid projects, including donations to vocational training in the Philippines and funding the construction of the Macau Red Cross Amagao Rotary Charity Primary School in Yunnan, completed in 2005. After the 1999 handover of Macao to China, Portuguese-speaking membership declined, leading to the club’s dissolution on April 15, 2002. Paulo Rosa Rodrigues, the charter president, remains a prominent community figure.

O Rotary Clube de Amagao (Rotary Clube de Amagao/亞馬閣扶輪社) foi o quarto clube Rotary fundado na então Macau português, integrando o Rotary International em 19 de novembro de 1985. Após os clubes de Macau (1947), Hou Kuong (1978) e Macau Central (1984), atuava no Distrito 345 do Rotary, abrangendo Macau português, Hong Kong britânico e o norte de Taiwan. O clube exigia fluência em português e a assinatura de publicações em língua portuguesa. Incorporado oficialmente em 13 de julho de 1988, foi registrado como organização sem fins lucrativos pelo governo de Macau. Atuou em projetos humanitários, como doações para treinamento profissional nas Filipinas e construção da Escola Primária de Caridade Rotary Amagao da Cruz Vermelha de Macau em Yunnan, concluída em 2005. Após a transferência de Macau para a China em 1999, houve declínio no número de membros lusófonos, resultando no fechamento do clube em 15 de abril de 2002. Paulo Rosa Rodrigues, presidente fundador, permanece uma figura ativa na comunidade.

亞馬閣扶輪社（Rotary Clube de Amagao/亞馬閣扶輪社）是葡屬澳門成立的第四家扶輪社，於1985年11月19日正式加入國際扶輪。在此之前已有澳門扶輪社（1947年）、濠江扶輪社（1978年）和澳門中區扶輪社（1984年）三家。該社隸屬國際扶輪345地區，涵蓋葡屬澳門、英屬香港及台灣北部。社員須流利掌握葡萄牙語並訂閱葡語扶輪刊物。社團於1988年7月13日正式在澳門政府註冊為非牟利組織。扶輪社積極參與人道援助，曾向菲律賓職業培訓計劃捐贈教學設備，並資助雲南省建設澳門紅十字會亞馬閣扶輪社博愛小學，該校於2005年完工。自1999年澳門回歸中國後，由於葡語會員不足，亞馬閣扶輪社於2002年4月15日解散。創社會長保羅•羅薩•羅德里格斯仍為澳門社區活躍人士。
