Dr. Bernard K. W. Shaw (1891–1959), born in Zhejiang Province, China, was an influential economist and a founding member of the Hangchow Rotary Club established in 1931 under the Shanghai Rotary Club’s guidance. As vice president of the Zhejiang Bank of China branch, he significantly contributed to regional infrastructure financing. Shaw earned his PhD from Columbia University in 1926, studying under Professor Edwin Seligman, with a dissertation on Chinese fiscal development that combined Eastern and Western financial concepts and advocated reforms in taxation and budgeting. His work received international acclaim. Returning to China, he held academic and governmental roles, participated in international education conferences, supported China’s tea industry, and collaborated with Confucian scholar Ma Yifu in founding the Fuxing Academy. After the People’s Republic of China was founded in 1949, Shaw joined the China Democratic League and facilitated the transition of his enterprises to public ownership.

Como vice-presidente da filial de Zhejiang do Banco da China, contribuiu significativamente para o financiamento de infraestrutura regional. 寿景伟博士（1891–1959），浙江人，是著名经济学家，也是杭州扶轮社1931年在上海扶轮社指导下成立的创始成员之一。作为中国银行浙江省分行副行长，他在地方基础设施融资中发挥了重要作用。寿博士于1926年在哥伦比亚大学师从爱德温·塞利格曼教授，获得博士学位，其论文探讨中国财政发展，融合东西方金融理念，主张财政改革、关税自主及以和平为重点的预算，其研究受到国际赞誉。回国后，他担任多项学术与政府职务，参加国际教育会议，推动中国茶产业发展，并与儒学大师马一浮合作创建复兴书院。1949年中华人民共和国成立后，寿博士加入中国民主同盟，协助将其企业转为公有制。
