The Rotary Club of Hong Kong, established in 1931, played a significant role in Chinese representation within Hong Kong’s colonial government. Between the early 20th century and the 1997 handover, twelve Rotarians served on the Executive Council and twenty on the Legislative Council. Notably, eight members were appointed as Senior Chinese Unofficial Members, a key advisory role bridging colonial authorities and the Chinese community. Prominent figures included Sir Shouson Chow, Sir Robert Hormus Kotewall, Sir Tsun-Nin Chau, and Sir Kenneth Fung Ping-Fan. These individuals influenced critical areas such as education, public housing, trade regulation, and anti-corruption, contributing to Hong Kong’s development and stability. Despite their advisory capacity under colonial constraints, these Rotarians were important in representing elite Chinese interests within the political structure of the British Crown Colony.

Figuras proeminentes incluíram Sir Shouson Chow, Sir Robert Hormus Kotewall, Sir Tsun-Nin Chau e Sir Kenneth Fung Ping-Fan. Esses indivíduos influenciaram áreas cruciais como educação, habitação pública, regulação comercial e combate à corrupção, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento e estabilidade de Hong Kong.
