Dr. Raymond C. W. Wong (Kowloon East) 黃志偉醫師(九龍東區)

Dr. Raymond C. W. Wong (1944–2008), born in Macao and native to Guangdong, was a prominent general surgeon and dedicated Rotarian in Hong Kong. Educated at Wah Yan College and the University of Hong Kong, he became a Fellow of several surgical colleges and served as honorary and visiting consultant in Hong Kong and Taipei. He served as Rotary International District 345 Governor for two consecutive terms (1987–1989), rebuilding the district after reorganization by founding new clubs and advancing Rotary’s mission. Dr. Wong was actively involved in global polio eradication, receiving key honors such as Rotary’s “Service Above Self” Award and WHO’s “International Award for a Polio-Free World.” Beyond his medical career, he engaged in community service, anti-drug education, and humanitarian work. Celebrated for his knowledge and generosity, Dr. Wong left a lasting legacy within the Rotary community across Hong Kong and beyond.

Educado no Wah Yan College e na Universidade de Hong Kong, tornou-se membro de várias faculdades de cirurgia e atuou como consultor honorário e visitante em Hong Kong e Taipé. Foi governador do Distrito 345 do Rotary International por dois mandatos consecutivos (1987–1989), reconstruindo o distrito após sua reorganização e fundando novos clubes para fortalecer a missão do Rotary. O Dr. Wong participou ativamente da erradicação global da poliomielite, recebendo importantes homenagens como o prêmio “Service Above Self” do Rotary e o “International Award for a Polio-Free World” da OMS. 黄志伟医生（1944–2008），出生于澳门，广东人，是香港著名的普通外科医生和热心的扶轮社成员。他曾就读于华仁书院和香港大学，成为多所外科学院院士，并在香港和台北担任荣誉及访问顾问。黄医生曾连续两届担任扶轮国际345区区长（1987–1989），在继任者猝逝后，重建区内结构，成立新社团，推动扶轮宗旨。他积极参与全球根除小儿麻痹症运动，荣获扶轮国际“Service Above Self”奖和世界卫生组织“无疫小儿麻痹国际奖”等殊荣。除医学外，黄医生还投身社区服务、禁毒教育及人道主义工作，以广博知识与慷慨精神，在香港及国际扶轮社群中留下永恒的贡献。
