RI President K. R. Ravindran and Past President Gary Huang visited Hong Kong -國際扶輪社長雷文壯和前社長黃其光出席2015年THE ONE國際人道主義獎頒獎晚宴

On June 23, 2015, Rotary International President K. R. Ravindran and Past President Gary Huang attended THE ONE International Humanitarian Award ceremony in Hong Kong at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile. The award honored four finalists from Nigeria, Mongolia, Greater China, and India, with Sindhutai Sapkal from Pune, India, receiving the $100,000 prize for her dedication to caring for over 1,000 orphaned children. Founded by District Governor David Harilela and Rotary District 3450, THE ONE Award recognizes global humanitarian heroes and maintains a $100,000 Emergency Fund to support past recipients. In 2015, the fund provided $15,000 to Burmese finalist Cynthia Maung after a fire at her orphanage school. Supported by Rotary’s international network, THE ONE continues to spotlight humanitarian achievements and seek future nominations.
