Reginald David Walker (獲嘉) (1892-1952) was a distinguished Chartered Civil Engineer and railway expert, active in Hong Kong during the 1930s and 1940s. He served as Acting General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (九廣鐵路) and was President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong (香港扶輪社) in 1937-1938. Born in England, Walker trained in railway engineering, served in World War I with distinction, and worked in the Federated Malay States before transferring to Hong Kong in 1934. He played a critical role managing the Kowloon-Canton Railway, contributing to wartime logistics during the Sino-Japanese War. A Lt. Colonel in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, Walker took part in the Battle of Hong Kong in 1941, where he was wounded and later interned by the Japanese until 1945. His legacy includes a KCR locomotive and a road named after him in Hung Hom, Kowloon. Walker also authored engineering works and was an accomplished sportsman.
