Dr. Liu Lit-Mo, MBE, JP, HonLLD (Lingnan), was a prominent Hong Kong banker and civic leader. He served as the 35th District Governor of Rotary International District 3450 in 1994-1995, overseeing 43 clubs in Hong Kong and 4 in Macau. Born in Guangdong, he directed Liu Chong Hing Bank as Managing Director and Chairman, guiding it through financial crises from 1961 onwards. He was the youngest chairman of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals at 28 and contributed to education via Lingnan University, United College (CUHK), and government roles. Liu championed Rotary’s expansion into Mongolia in 1995, founding the Ulaanbaatar Rotary Club. He also led poverty relief efforts, including housing projects for the Yao ethnic group in Guangdong. He received a Justice of the Peace appointment (1967), MBE (1968), and an honorary Doctor of Laws from Lingnan University (2005). Dr. Liu passed away in Hong Kong in July 2017 at age 79.

Nascido em Guangdong, foi Diretor-Gerente e Presidente do Liu Chong Hing Bank, guiando-o durante crises financeiras a partir de 1961. Foi o presidente mais jovem do Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, aos 28 anos, e contribuiu para a educação em Lingnan University, United College (CUHK) e em comissões governamentais. Liu promoveu a expansão do Rotary na Mongólia em 1995, fundando o Rotary Club de Ulaanbaatar. Também liderou projetos de combate à pobreza, como a construção de casas para o grupo étnico Yao em Guangdong. Recebeu os títulos de Juiz de Paz (1967), MBE (1968) e Doutor Honoris Causa em Direito pela Lingnan University (2005). Dr. Liu faleceu em Hong Kong em julho de 2017, aos 79 anos.
