Dr. Liu Lit-Mo, MBE, LLD, JP, was the District 3450 Governor of Rotary International during 1994-1995, overseeing 43 clubs in Hong Kong and 4 in Macau. A prominent banker with over 30 years of community service, he served as President of the Hong Kong Island West Rotary Club (香港西區扶輪社) in 1991-1992. During his governorship, Liu proposed to Rotary International, via the Asian Affairs Committee, to admit Mongolia as a Rotary country when the Shatin Rotary Club sponsored a new club in Ulaanbaatar. Liu also held leadership roles including Chairman of the Hong Kong Football Association (1970-1973) and President of the Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce (1978-1980). Additionally, he was President of the Chinese Bankers Club in 2005 and served on academic boards such as The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s United College and Liu Po Shan Memorial College. Dr. Liu passed away peacefully at age 79 on 12 July 2017 in Hong Kong.
