The Honourable Amanda Wen-Lin Ko (柯玟伶, 1947–2022) was a pioneering Taiwanese politician and Rotary leader, recognized as the first female District Governor in Rotary China history. After Rotary International allowed female members in 1989, Ko founded the first all-female Rotary Club in Taiwan, the Rotary Club of San Chung South (三重南區扶輪社), serving as its charter president. She was elected District Governor of Rotary International District 3490 for 1997–1998, becoming the first female governor in both Taiwan and Northeast Asia. Ko also led the inaugural Rotary Leadership Institute Taiwan class. Honored with multiple Rotary awards, including the Service Above Self Award, she dedicated decades to public service in Taipei County (now New Taipei City), focusing on education, environmental protection, infrastructure, fire safety, and community development. She served five terms as a county councilor, chaired various civic organizations, and promoted girl scouting for 25 years.
