Khuree Rotary Club – Project Test for Life

The Khuree Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, launched the “Project Test for Life” in 2005 to promote early cervical cancer detection among women in underserved rural and urban areas. Supported by the Mongolian Health Department and Rotary partners from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea, mobile medical teams provided free screenings to 24,824 women by 2012. In 2016, the club began twice-weekly radio broadcasts to raise awareness. Dr. Bayarsaikhan Luvsandorj, an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist and founder of Mongolia’s first hiking club, leads the project and is a recipient of Rotary’s “Service Above Self” award. Founded in 2002, the Khuree Rotary Club was Mongolia’s second Rotary club and is part of Rotary International District 3450. The Hong Kong Rotary Club, established in 1931 and the oldest in the region, supports such humanitarian efforts through international collaboration.

O Khuree Rotary Club de Ulaanbaatar, Mongólia, iniciou o “Projeto Teste para a Vida” em 2005 para promover a detecção precoce do câncer cervical entre mulheres em áreas rurais e urbanas carentes. Apoiado pelo Departamento de Saúde da Mongólia e parceiros rotarianos de Hong Kong, Taiwan e Coreia, equipes médicas móveis realizaram exames gratuitos em 24.824 mulheres até 2012. Em 2016, o clube começou transmissões de rádio semanais para aumentar a conscientização. O Dr. Bayarsaikhan Luvsandorj, obstetra-ginecologista experiente e fundador do primeiro clube de caminhada da Mongólia, lidera o projeto e recebeu o prêmio “Serviço Acima de Si” da Rotary. Fundado em 2002, o Khuree Rotary Club foi o segundo clube da Mongólia e faz parte do Distrito 3450 da Rotary International. O Hong Kong Rotary Club, fundado em 1931 e o mais antigo da região, apoia esses esforços humanitários por meio da colaboração internacional.
