The Rotary Club of Tientsin (天津扶輪社), established in 1923, was the second Rotary Club in the Republic of China. Founded within the international settlements of the Tientsin Treaty Port (now Tianjin), its formation was initiated in October 1922 with support from the Rotary Club of Shanghai. Key founders included Albert Charles Row, Theodore Judson Worthman, and Dr. Julian Petit. The club held its formal organizing meeting on February 27, 1923, and received its international charter (#1444) on June 15, 1923. The founding officers were President Worthman, Vice-President Woollen, Secretary Row, and Treasurer Tipper. With 53 members comprising professionals, military officers, consular officials, and businessmen from both foreign and Chinese backgrounds, the club reflected the multinational character of the Tientsin International Settlement. It promoted Rotary International’s motto “Service Above Self” through ethical business practices, fellowship, and community service, including notable events like the 1924 “Father and Son Week” parade. This establishment marked an important milestone in Rotary’s expansion and civic involvement in early 20th-century China.

Estabelecido nas concessões internacionais do Porto de Tientsin (atual Tianjin), sua criação foi iniciada em outubro de 1922 com apoio do Rotary Club de Xangai. Os principais fundadores foram Albert Charles Row, Theodore Judson Worthman e Dr. Julian Petit. O clube realizou sua reunião organizadora formal em 27 de fevereiro de 1923 e recebeu sua carta internacional (#1444) em 15 de junho de 1923.
