Reverend Dr. Andrew Ben Loo (Taipei North) 盧祺沃牧師(台北北區)

Reverend Dr. Andrew Ben Loo (1913–1989) was the founding president of the Rotary Club of Taipei North in 1959 and served as Governor of Rotary International District 345 (covering Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) from 1968 to 1969. Born in New York City with roots in Shunde, Guangdong, he earned doctorates in theology and music education in China and the U.S. His career spanned leadership roles in education and church ministry across China, the United States, and Taiwan. After moving to Taiwan in 1949, he served as a professor, Bible Society board member, evangelical leader, and pastor at Shihlin Veuve Church. Known for his concise sermons and emphasis on spiritual growth and humility, he preached widely across Taiwan and authored numerous works, including *Life Sermons: Very Short Messages*, a collection of 60 brief sermons for home fellowships.
