Eminent Rotarians awarded Silver Wolf or Bronze Wolf

Three distinguished Rotarians from China and Hong Kong were honored with the highest awards from the global Scouting movement for their exceptional contributions to youth development during challenging times. Arthur Hamilton Gordon, District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts Association–Shanghai Branch and member of the Rotary Club of Shanghai, received the Silver Wolf in 1950 for maintaining Scouting through wartime and Japanese occupation. Lo Ching-Kan (C.K. Lo), Colony Commissioner of the Boy Scouts Association–Hong Kong Branch and president of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong (1976–1977), was awarded the Silver Wolf in 1966 for promoting integration of Scouting among Hong Kong’s Chinese community. Dr. Chau Cham-Son, Chief Commissioner of the Scout Association of Hong Kong (1985–1996) and Rotary Club president (1991–1992), received the Bronze Wolf in 1990, the highest global Scouting honor, in recognition of his leadership in expanding and modernizing Hong Kong Scouting, including leading the construction of the Hong Kong Scout Centre. Their awards underscore the strong partnership between Rotary and Scouting in the region.
