Sheung H. Sung (Hong Kong) 宋常康 (香港)

Sheung H. Sung (宋常康) (1917–2018) was a distinguished Christian leader and Rotary International figure in Hong Kong. He joined the Hong Kong Rotary Club in 1956 and led as president from 1967 to 1968. From 1975 to 1976, Sung served as the 16th director of Rotary International District 345, which included Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Under his leadership, the district expanded to 83 clubs with over 3,700 predominantly Chinese members, promoting unity across diverse linguistic and regional communities without modern transportation. A lifelong supervisor of the Pentecostal Mission of Hong Kong and Kowloon, founded by his father Song Dingwen, Sung was dedicated to his Christian faith since youth. Educated in engineering in the UK, he founded the “Song Changkang Global Service Special Fund” in 1973 with The United Bible Societies to support Bible translation and publication worldwide. His combined spiritual and community leadership greatly impacted the church and Rotary movements in the region.

De 1975 a 1976, Sung atuou como 16º diretor do Distrito 345 do Rotary International, que incluía Taiwan, Hong Kong e Macau. Sob sua liderança, o distrito cresceu para 83 clubes com mais de 3.700 membros predominantemente chineses, promovendo unidade entre comunidades linguísticas e regionais diversas, mesmo sem transporte moderno.
