Kwun Tong Rotary Club – Project Music Across the Ocean

The “Music Across the Ocean” project was an international service initiative involving Rotarians from the Kwun Tong Rotary Club in Hong Kong and the Santa Mesa and Dagupan East Rotary Clubs in the Philippines. The project featured a singing tour by the 54-member Kwun Tong Children’s Chorus. Traveling from Hong Kong to Manila, the chorus performed for seven days in Quezon City and Dagupan, raising funds for the National Children’s Hospital of the Philippines. The tour also included a joint Rotary meeting for the three clubs, where the chorus provided musical entertainment. This initiative showcased international collaboration through music and community service, strengthening ties between Hong Kong and the Philippines.

O projeto “Música Através do Oceano” foi uma iniciativa de serviço internacional envolvendo os Rotarianos dos clubes Rotary de Kwun Tong em Hong Kong e de Santa Mesa e Dagupan East nas Filipinas. O projeto incluiu uma turnê de canto do Coral Infantil de Kwun Tong, com 54 membros. Viajando de Hong Kong a Manila, o coral se apresentou por sete dias em Quezon City e Dagupan, arrecadando fundos para o Hospital Nacional da Criança das Filipinas. A turnê também contou com uma reunião conjunta dos três clubes Rotary, onde o coral ofereceu entretenimento musical. Esta iniciativa destacou a colaboração internacional por meio da música e do serviço comunitário, fortalecendo os laços entre Hong Kong e as Filipinas.

“海洋彼岸的音乐”项目是由香港观塘扶轮社及菲律宾Santa Mesa和Dagupan East扶轮社共同发起的国际服务计划。项目内容为由54名成员组成的观塘儿童合唱团进行歌唱巡演。合唱团乘商业航班从香港飞往马尼拉，在奎松市和达古潘进行了为期七天的演出，为菲律宾国家儿童医院筹集资金。巡演期间，三个扶轮社还举行了联合例会，观塘青少年合唱团为会议提供了音乐表演。该项目展现了通过音乐与社区服务实现的国际合作精神，促进了香港与菲律宾的友好交流。
