Dr. George Hung Hon-Cheung (1934–2025) was a distinguished Hong Kong engineer, inventor, and educational leader. Born in Guangzhou and graduated from Chung Chi College, CUHK in 1956, he founded System Engineering Limited in 1979 after working at Carrier Air Conditioning. He invented the RISIGO bicycle in the 1980s, winning international awards in 1985 and 1991. A devoted Christian, Hung held various church and hospital governance roles and supported schools such as Pui Ying Secondary and Wesley College. From 1993 to 2002, he chaired the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College, the first alumnus to do so, and received an honorary doctorate from CUHK in 2001. Hung also served as president of the Hong Kong Island West Rotary Club (1993–1994). He passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, aged 91.
