District Governor (DG) CP Jimmy Lau is a leader of remarkable breadth —academically, professionally, and in service. His diverse educational background reflects a lifelong commitment to learning and holistic understanding of social development. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science (Major in Government & Public Administration) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Postgraduate Diploma in Administration from the Australian Catholic University, a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine from the University of Hong Kong, and both Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. He is also a Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Full Member of the Hong Kong Management Association.
Professionally, DG Jimmy has built a distinguished career spanning the public, private, and social sectors. He served as Deputy Director of Helping Hand, Group Administration and Personnel Manager of Allan International Holdings Limited, a publicly listed company in Hong Kong, and later as Senior Council Secretary of the Hong Kong Legislative Council Secretariat. With 40 years of hands-on experience managing people effectively across social welfare organizations and corporations at all levels, he founded and now serves as Chief Executive Officer of Richform Holdings Ltd (Richform), the leading provider of premium drinking water equipment in Hong Kong and Macau. Prestigious clientele of Richform includes Starbucks, Hong Kong Disneyland, The University of Hong Kong and etc..
DG Jimmy’s Rotary Journey began in 2004 when he joined the Rotary Club of Wanchai for 1 year. After a period dedicated to his studies in Chinese medicine, he rejoined the Rotary family in 2009 as a member of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Financial Centre, where he served as President in 2015–2016. In January 2017, he demonstrated his pioneering spirit by founding the Rotary Club of Star Avenue and serving as its Charter President. With 17 years of Rotary membership, he has held numerous district leadership roles, including Assistant Governor, Deputy Assistant Governor, District Secretary, Deputy District Secretary, Chair of the District Team Training Assembly, Chair of District Conference, and Chair of the Charter President (CP) Academy. In 2023, he was elected District Governor Nominee Designate, and in July 2026, he assumes the role of District Governor of Rotary District 3450.
Beyond Rotary, DG Jimmy has dedicated over 40 years of volunteer administration work with Scout Association of Hong Kong. He also served as a charter member and President of the SME Sustainability Society (SMESS) from 2023 to 2025.
