Dr. The Honourable Li Shu-Fan – Governor of the 96th District 1947-1948 李樹芬醫生 (香港)

Dr. The Honourable Li Shu-Fan (1887–1966) was a prominent physician and public leader in Hong Kong and South China. Educated at the Hong Kong College of Medicine and the University of Edinburgh, he served as Minister of Health in Guangzhou’s Revolutionary Military Government. From 1947 to 1948, Li was Governor of Rotary International’s 96th District (South China), leading the first Rotary District Conference in Hong Kong and revitalizing Rotary clubs in China after World War II. He transformed the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital into a leading private medical institution. Dr. Li was active in public affairs, serving on multiple councils including the Hong Kong University Court. In recognition of his philanthropy and contributions, the University of Hong Kong named its Preclinical Building after him and awarded him an honorary Doctor of Laws in 1961.

Entre 1947 e 1948, Li foi Governador do 96º Distrito do Rotary International (Sul da China), liderando a primeira Conferência Distrital do Rotary em Hong Kong e revitalizando os clubes Rotary na China após a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Transformou o Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital em uma instituição médica privada de referência. Dr. Li esteve ativo na vida pública, servindo em vários conselhos, incluindo o Conselho da Universidade de Hong Kong. Em reconhecimento à sua filantropia, a Universidade de Hong Kong nomeou seu Edifício Pré-Clínico em sua homenagem e concedeu-lhe um doutorado honorário em Direito em 1961.

李樹芬醫生（1887–1966）是香港及華南著名的醫生及公共領袖。他畢業於香港醫學專門學院及愛丁堡大學，曾任廣州革命軍政府的衛生部長。1947年至1948年期間，他擔任國際扶輪第96區（華南區）總監，主辦香港首屆扶輪區會議，並於二戰後振興中國扶輪社。李醫生將香港養和醫院發展成為領先的私家醫療機構。他積極參與公共事務，曾任香港大學校董會成員。為表彰其慈善及貢獻，香港大學於1961年將預科教學大樓以他命名，並授予榮譽法學博士學位。
