Dr. George Choa Wing-Sien (蔡永善醫生) An Otorhinolaryngologist of International Repute

Dr. George Choa Wing-Sien (1921–2013), an internationally respected otorhinolaryngologist, was deeply committed to humanitarian work. Following his older brother Robert, he was a prominent member and President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong and served as District 345 Governor from 1979 to 1980. During his tenure, Dr. Choa led the Rotary Foundation’s efforts to organize volunteer doctors and dentists providing vital medical care to thousands of Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong camps, such as Argyle Camp, amid the influx following the Vietnam conflict. Supported by the Hong Kong government and the United Nations, his leadership helped meet urgent health needs and raised global awareness of Hong Kong’s humanitarian role during this refugee crisis.

Com apoio do governo de Hong Kong e da ONU, sua liderança ajudou a atender necessidades médicas urgentes e aumentou a conscientização global sobre o papel humanitário de Hong Kong durante essa crise de refugiados.

蔡永善醫生（1921–2013）是一位享譽國際的耳鼻喉科專家，並致力於人道主義工作。承襲其兄蔡永誠的足跡，他積極參與香港扶輪社，擔任社長及1979至1980年扶輪345地區總監。在其領導下，扶輪基金會組織醫生和牙醫志願者，為越南難民營（如亞皆老營）內的數千名難民提供重要醫療服務。該時期大量難民因戰後逃離越南，香港政府與聯合國支持這項行動。蔡醫生的領導不僅解決了緊急醫療需求，也提升了國際社會對香港作為人道避風港角色的認識。
