Dr. Tseung Fat-Im (Hong Kong) 醫師蔣法賢博士(香港)

Dr. Tseung Fat-Im (1907–2002) was a distinguished Hong Kong physician, biochemistry professor, and influential Rotarian who significantly advanced higher education in Hong Kong. As President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong (1947–1948) and Rotary International advisor, he played a pivotal role in founding District 345 in 1960. He led the formation of the United College of Hong Kong in 1956 by merging five colleges originally from Guangzhou, serving as its first president and board chairman. Under his guidance, the college grew to serve over 600 students at its Caine Road location. Tseung was also instrumental in the establishment of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1963, reflecting government shifts toward Chinese-medium degree education. His leadership helped shape Chinese higher education during changing colonial policies.
