Planet Rotary – History of the Rotarian Magazine since 1911

The Rotary organization launched its first magazine, The National Rotarian, in 1911 to keep members informed. As Rotary expanded internationally, regional magazines followed, including one in Great Britain and Ireland in 1915 and an early version of Rotary Down Under in Australia in 1928. Today, Rotary World Magazine Press publishes 32 magazines worldwide. The Rotarian remains the flagship publication in circulation and reach, accompanied by 31 regional magazines distributed across more than 130 countries in 25 languages. These magazines function as essential communication tools linking Rotary International with its global membership.
