Incorporation of the Rotary Club of Amagao, Macao, 1988

In 1988, under District Governor Dr. Raymond C. W. Wong of Rotary International District 345, the Rotary Clube de Amagao (Rotary Club of Amagao) was established and officially registered in Macao on July 14, 1988. Charter President Paulo Rosa Rodrigues led the formation, requiring members to be fluent in Portuguese and to use Portuguese Rotary publications. The club was active initially, participating in events such as the 1989 Rotary International Convention in Seoul and supporting vocational programs in the Philippines with donations. However, it operated less than five years due to difficulties in recruiting fluent Portuguese-speaking members. The club’s statutes and incorporation documents are preserved in Rotary and Macao government archives. Paulo Rosa Rodrigues is also noted for his longstanding community involvement and voluntary blood donations in Macao.

Em 1988, sob a liderança do Governador Distrital Dr. Raymond C. W. Wong do Distrito 345 do Rotary International, foi fundado e oficialmente registrado em Macau, a 14 de julho de 1988, o Rotary Clube de Amagao. O presidente fundador, Paulo Rosa Rodrigues, liderou a formação do clube, exigindo que os membros fossem fluentes em português e utilizassem publicações rotárias em português. O clube participou ativamente, incluindo no Convenção Internacional do Rotary de 1989 em Seul, além de apoiar programas vocacionais nas Filipinas com doações. Contudo, funcionou menos de cinco anos devido à dificuldade em atrair membros fluentes em português. Os estatutos e documentos de incorporação permanecem arquivados nos registros do Rotary e do governo de Macau. Paulo Rosa Rodrigues é também reconhecido pelo seu longo envolvimento comunitário e doações voluntárias de sangue em Macau.

1988年，在国际扶轮社第345区总监黄志伟博士的领导下，澳门成立了Rotary Clube de Amagao（亚马湾扶轮社），并于1988年7月14日正式向澳门政府注册。首任社长保罗·罗莎·罗德里格斯主持了俱乐部的成立，要求会员必须流利使用葡萄牙语并订阅葡萄牙语扶轮刊物。该俱乐部初期积极活跃，参与了1989年首尔国际扶轮大会，并向菲律宾职业培训项目捐赠设备。然而，由于难以招募流利葡萄牙语的成员，俱乐部运行不到五年。其章程和注册文件现均保存在扶轮社及澳门政府档案中。保罗·罗莎·罗德里格斯因其长期社区服务和献血义举，在澳门享有盛誉。
