District Governor Cassy Cheng is an entrepreneur with over 26 years of experience in marketing and management in the ladies’ footwear industry, recently expanding into real estate investment. She joined Rotary in 2011 through the Rotary E-club of District 3450 after organizing a shoe donation project for children affected by the Qinghai earthquake. Cheng served as club president from 2013 to 2015, focusing on administrative reform and membership growth, and received the Outstanding President with Distinction award. She earned an Executive MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. Cheng has held various Rotary leadership roles, including Assistant Governor of Area 8, District Conference Chair in 2020/21, and District Training Assembly Chair in 2022/23, organizing a major online event with over 550 participants. She also chaired Rotary Service Day, raising public awareness of Rotary’s community efforts and donated over 140,000 masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

District Governor Cassy Cheng is an entrepreneur with over 26 years of marketing and management experience in the Ladies’ Footwear Industry, and lately she has diversified her business to include real estate investment and management.  After helping organize a Shoe Donation Project for the less privileged kids affected by an earthquake in Qinghai through Rotary E-club of District 3450 in 2011, she immediately decided to join the club and became a Rotarian in the same year.

DG Cassy was the President in Rotary Year 2013/14 and 2014/15 for 2 consecutive years.  During her presidency, she focused on revamping the club administration and recruiting new members, apart from organizing community services.  She was awarded the Outstanding President with Distinction.  In the academic aspect, DG Cassy acquired the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016.

DG Cassy has been a very active Rotarian and served the District in many different capacities.  She served as the Assistant Governor of Area 8 and the 61st District Conference Chair in Rotary Year 2020/21 and was bestowed as the Rotarian of the Year.  While she was the Sub-committee Chair of Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY), she supported the Rotary Foundation and became a Level 2 Major Donor.  In Rotary year 2022/23, she was the District Training Assembly Chair and organized a huge online training event with over 550 participants across Hong Kong/Macau/Mongolia.  She also chaired the Rotary Service Day, the first large scale and influential District event that promoted rotary to the public and raised public awareness about the Rotary’s community services.  She was also the District Rotary Foundation Committee Vice Chair (TRF Programs), the District Secretary (Club Affairs) and the District Installation Sub-committee Chair (Program Book and Fundraising) in the same year.

During the pandemic from May 2020 to Dec 2022, she has donated over 140,000 pieces of masks to the society.
